  • Know your customers (KYC)

Do you work as a creator on our platform? Then you are required to complete a so-called KYC verification (Know Your Customer). This check is part of the laws and regulations that we as a platform must comply with.

    Why is verification mandatory?
According to the Dutch Act on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Wwft), we, like banks and other financial institutions, are legally obliged to verify the identity of our users. This legislation is intended to prevent misuse of the financial system, such as:

    • Money laundering

    • Fraud

    • Terrorist financing

Without a completed KYC verification, we are legally not allowed to make payments to business and consumer creators.

What does the KYC verification involve?
The KYC verification (Know Your Customer) consists of a number of necessary checks to confirm your identity and, if applicable, your business information. Depending on your situation, this may include:

    • Identity verification via a valid identity document, such as a passport or ID card

    • Bank verification via iDIN, which allows you to securely confirm your identity and bank account via your own bank environment. This can also be done manually without iDIN if necessary

    • Verification of Chamber of Commerce (KvK) details to check whether your company is correctly registered with the Chamber of Commerce

All verifications are legally required according to the Wwft and are processed securely.

    Verification via Stripe
The verification is carried out by our payment partner Stripe. Stripe is a recognized payment service provider and is supervised by the relevant financial regulators. All data is treated confidentially and used solely for verification purposes.

    What are the costs?
We do not charge any fees for this statutory verification. The verification is free of charge for business creators and is conducted to comply with legal requirements.

After completing the verification, you can continue to use the platform without further interruption.
