UGC.NL offers clients a safe environment to work with carefully selected creators. To maintain the quality and protection of the platform, all communication, agreements and payments take place through UGC.NL.

Please note: UGC.NL monitors every chat to ensure user safety, prevent fraud and identify violations of our rules.

What is not allowed?

• Asking creators to communicate outside UGC.NL, for example via WhatsApp, personal e-mail, social media or other external channels.
• Handling paid work directly with a creator.
• Direct payments, your own invoices, payment requests or bank transfers outside UGC.NL.

Good to know: if you try to share contact details, social media or payment details in the chat, you'll see a warning first.

What are the consequences of a violation?

If a violation is established, UGC.NL may immediately and permanently block the client's account. UGC.NL may deny both current and future access to the platform. New accounts linked to the same client or organisation may also be refused.

In cases of serious violations, UGC.NL may invoke article 6.4 of the general terms and conditions. Under this article, an immediately and fully payable fine of EUR 5,000 per violation and EUR 500 for each day or part of a day that the violation continues may apply.

Why is working via UGC.NL safer?

• Manually approved creators: every creator is reviewed manually by UGC.NL before they can take on assignments. This safeguards the quality and reliability of our network and reduces the risk for you.
• Protected payment: you pay the agreed amount via UGC.NL. The amount is held in our secure payment environment until the assignment has been completed. So the creator only receives the money once the delivery has been officially accepted.
• Support with complaints: does the content not meet the agreed briefing? Then you can request a revision or reject the delivery. In the event of a dispute, UGC.NL can review the briefing, chat, files, delivery and revisions. Read more in What if I am not satisfied?
• Protection during production: files you receive via the chat and delivered files carry a watermark until you accept the delivery. You may only publish or use the content commercially once you have accepted the final delivery. The creator transfers the rights to the content to UGC.NL; once you approve it, UGC.NL transfers the full rights to you.

How do you work safely?

• Keep all communication, briefings and agreements within UGC.NL.
• Always pay via UGC.NL.
• Don't ask creators for personal contact or payment details.
• Always record changes and additional agreements in the chat.
• Report suspicious requests or possible violations to UGC.NL immediately.

Please note: you may not ask for or share a phone number in the UGC.NL chat either. This is strictly prohibited.

UGC.NL helps creators work safely with reliable clients. To protect you, your work and your income, all communication, agreements and payments take place through UGC.NL.

• WhatsApp, personal e-mail or social media;
• payment requests or your own invoices;
• direct bank transfers.

What are the consequences of a violation?

In the event of a violation, UGC.NL is entitled to block a creator's account temporarily or permanently with immediate effect. You will then lose:

• access to the UGC.NL platform;
• all your collected reviews and earned badges;
• the ability to receive ongoing or future assignments via UGC.NL;
• the visibility and reputation you've built up on the platform.

In cases of serious violations, UGC.NL may also invoke article 6.4 of the general terms and conditions. Under this article, an immediately and fully payable fine of EUR 5,000 per violation and EUR 500 for each day or part of a day that the violation continues may apply.

Why is working via UGC.NL safer?

• Certainty about your payment: you only start an assignment after the client has paid via UGC.NL. The amount is then ready in UGC.NL's secure payment environment. As soon as the order is completed, we pay you out in the weekly payout round. Read more in When will I be paid?
• Protection of your content: interim files you send via the Activity chat and your delivered files carry a watermark until the client accepts the delivery. The client may not publish, distribute, edit or use these files commercially. You transfer the rights to your content to UGC.NL. Only once the client has approved the final content via UGC.NL and the payment conditions have been met does UGC.NL transfer the full rights to the client.
• Support with problems: is there a disagreement about the briefing, delivery, revisions or payment? Then UGC.NL can review the communication and files on the platform. We can't check and protect communication outside UGC.NL in the same way.

How do you work safely?

• Keep all communication and agreements in the UGC.NL chat.
• Only accept payments via UGC.NL.
• Don't share personal contact details or direct payment details.
• Don't open suspicious links and don't give anyone access to your computer or accounts.
• Report requests to communicate or pay outside UGC.NL to UGC.NL immediately.

Please note: you may not share a phone number in the UGC.NL chat either. This is strictly prohibited.
