At UGC.NL, you can be sure you'll get paid as a creator. Below you can read how payments, payouts and invoices work.

    In short

    • Clients pay in advance. The money is held safely until the order is completed.
    • We pay out every Monday via Stripe.
    • You receive 70% to 75% of the package price, depending on your rank.
    • We create your invoices automatically.
How can you be sure you'll get paid?

Clients pay in advance, before the order starts. UGC.NL holds the amount safely until the order has been completed.

After your delivery, the client has 72 hours to accept or reject your delivery or to request a revision. If the client doesn't respond within that time, your delivery is accepted automatically. The order then gets the status Completed and we include your earnings in the next payout.

Read what each status means in What do the order statuses mean?

What if an order doesn't go ahead?

Is an order cancelled, or does the client reject your delivery? Then the client gets the amount paid back, excluding the service fee, within 14 business days. You don't receive a payment for that order.

    When will you be paid?

We pay out every Monday via our payment partner Stripe. You then receive the money for all completed orders that haven't been paid out yet. In practice, these are the orders completed in the previous week. Because payments are sent from Ireland, the money is in your account within a few business days.

On your dashboard you can see your amounts under Active orders, In progress and Paid out. In progress means a completed order is waiting for the next payout.

    How much do you receive?

UGC.NL charges a commission for the services the platform provides. The higher your rank, the lower the commission and the more you keep.

    Rank Commission You receive
    Trendsetter 25% 75%
    Rising Star 27.5% 72.5%
    Rookie 30% 70%
    Explorer 30% 70%

The commission is calculated on the package price. The service fee the client pays isn't part of it. Read how to reach a higher rank in Commission tiers.

What happens with a discount code?

Does a client use a discount code, or is UGC.NL running a promotion? Then the discount comes out of UGC.NL's commission. Your payout isn't reduced.

    How does invoicing work?

You don't need to create invoices yourself. As soon as an order has been completed, UGC.NL automatically creates an invoice on your behalf. You can find all your invoices in your dashboard under Invoices. If you have a business, we also send you the invoice by email.

During your initial verification, you indicate whether you have a business. Based on that, we take your VAT situation into account on your invoices, for example the KOR scheme. Read more in Why do I need to verify my account?

Do you need a Chamber of Commerce (KVK) registration?

No, you can also start at UGC.NL without a KVK registration, as a private individual. However, the government decides when an activity is no longer a hobby and a KVK registration becomes mandatory. If you structurally earn more, a KVK registration may be required. We'll inform you about this, but you're responsible for complying with these rules yourself.

Good to know: do you have a business now? Go to Settings › Finance and click Switch next to Switch to business. If you still have open orders, complete those first.

For more information, please see our terms and conditions.

Does a rejection or cancellation cost you anything?

No. If an order is cancelled or rejected, you will not be paid for that order. You also don't pay UGC.NL anything for it. Did you receive a product? Whether you can keep it is something you agree with the brand. That depends on the reason for the cancellation.

Do you need to declare products you receive?

Products you receive for an order and are allowed to keep may count as income for the tax authorities. How you handle this in your administration and tax return is your own responsibility. Not sure? Check with the tax authorities or an accountant.
