Creators - How long does it take to get approved
After you have created your profile, the UGC.NL team checks it manually. We look at whether your profile meets the requirements to start as a creator. The review usually takes a maximum of 7 business days.
When does the review start?
We review your profile as soon as you have uploaded your highlight video and at least one portfolio video. You will then see the message Profile review started! on your dashboard.
What do we check?
During the review, we look at, among other things:
- Your profile photo
- Your highlight video
- Your portfolio video
- The quality of your videos
- How complete your profile is

What happens after the review?
You will receive our decision by email.
- Approved: you can receive orders through the platform.
- Rejected: you will receive an email. It does not always include a reason. Upload new videos and we will automatically review your profile again.

Is it taking longer than 7 business days?
We aim for a maximum of 7 business days. When there are many applications, this is not always possible. Everyone gets their turn.
Good to know: a support ticket does not speed up the review. So there is no need to email us about it.

Creators - What are the requirements to get started?
To start as a creator at UGC.NL, your profile must be complete. Brands use your profile to decide whether you are a good fit for their project.
In short
- A good profile photo
- One highlight video
- At least one portfolio video
- Videos of good quality
- You are at least 18 years old
What should your profile photo look like?
Your profile photo is the first thing brands see. Make sure it is:
- A clear photo of you
- Well lit
- Sharp and professional
Do not use:
- Logos
- Group photos
- Blurry or dark photos
What makes a good highlight video?
The highlight video is your short introduction as a creator. Businesses see this video on the Find Creators page.
- You are clearly visible.
- You show your look and style.
- The video is short and to the point.
It doesn't have to be an advert. It's all about making a strong first impression.
What makes a good portfolio video?
The portfolio video shows what you can create for brands.
- Good image quality
- Clear sound
- Relevant content
This can also be content you made earlier outside UGC.NL. You can add up to 3 portfolio videos.
Please note: showing social media channels in your videos is not allowed. A video can be up to 250 MB.
How good do your videos need to be?
You don't need professional equipment, but your content must be well made.
- Good lighting
- Clear sound
- Stable image
- A good voice-over (optional)
Quality matters more than expensive equipment.
What if your profile doesn't meet the requirements?
If your profile doesn't meet these requirements, it may be rejected. You can then adjust your profile and have it reviewed again. Read more in My profile was rejected, what now?
As soon as your profile has been approved, you can receive orders.
When are you visible to brands?
- Your profile has been reviewed and approved.
- You have completed your first verification (first sign-on). Read Why do I need to verify my account?
- You have a profile photo, a highlight video and at least one portfolio video.
- The Available switch is on. It is on by default.
Good to know: do you get an email saying your profile is not complete yet, while your highlight and portfolio videos are already there? Then something went wrong on our side. Create a support ticket.

Creators - How do i become a creator?
UGC.NL is a platform where creators and brands work together. As a creator, you make videos or photos for brands.
Brands find creators via the Find Creators page. They choose creators based on their profile, portfolio and performance.
In short
- Signing up is free.
- You upload a highlight video and at least one portfolio video.
- The review usually takes a maximum of 7 business days.
- You are at least 18 years old.
How do you sign up?
- Create a free creator account.
- Fill in your profile as completely as possible.
- Upload one highlight video and at least one portfolio video.
As soon as your videos have been uploaded, we review your profile.
What do you need?
- A fully completed profile
- A portfolio with sample content
- Time to complete orders
You don't need a professional camera. Good lighting, clear sound and strong content matter more than expensive equipment. You can find all requirements in What are the requirements to get started?
How does approval work?

What can you do after approval?

- Get paid after completing your orders
The more active and complete your profile, the greater your chance of being chosen. Read in How do I get assignments? how to land your first orders. You can also work via the UGC.NL Creator app for iOS and Android.
Good to know: UGC.NL continuously looks at quality, reliability and activity. New creators get just as many opportunities as experienced creators. Every order is a new chance to show what you can do. Stay active, keep communicating and focus on quality.
Can you also have a brand account?
Yes. Do you also have a business that wants to hire creators? Then you can create a brand account next to your creator account. Use a different email address for it.
