  • Creators - My profile was rejected, what now?

Has your application been rejected? Then your profile does not meet our quality requirements yet. That's a shame, but you can try again as often as you like.

How do you know you've been rejected?

You will receive an email from us. Your dashboard also shows the message Unfortunately, you have been rejected. The email sometimes includes a short explanation, but not with every rejection.

Why might your profile have been rejected?

We mainly review your highlight video and your portfolio videos. A profile is usually rejected for one of these reasons:

    • The highlight video is missing or does not meet the requirements.
    • The portfolio videos are not of sufficient quality.
    • A social media channel is visible in a video, for example a TikTok or Instagram logo.
    • Your profile has not been filled in completely.

Tip: take a look at ugc.nl/find-creators to see how approved creators build their highlight and portfolio videos. Compare that with your own profile: you will often quickly see what can be improved. You can read all requirements in What are the requirements to get started?

How do you get reviewed again?

You don't need to submit anything and there is no separate button. As soon as you upload a new video, your profile automatically goes back into review.

    1. Improve your videos and fill in your profile completely.
    2. Upload your new highlight video or portfolio video via My portfolio.
    3. Your profile is then automatically back in the review queue.

You can do this as often as you like. There is no maximum number of attempts.

How long does a new review take?

We aim for a maximum of 7 business days. When there are many applications, this is not always possible and it can take longer. Everyone gets their turn.

Good to know: a support ticket does not speed up the review. So there is no need to email us to be reviewed again.

  • Brands & creators - How does the login verification code work?

At UGC.NL, you log in with an extra check: two-factor authentication (2FA). This keeps your account more secure.

    How does it work?
    1. Log in with your email address and password.
    2. We send a verification code to your account's email address.
    3. Enter the code. You are then logged in.

This happens with every login attempt. You can't turn 2FA off: it is a fixed security measure.

    Is the email not arriving?
    • Check your spam folder.
    • Try logging in on another device. Using the app? Then try the web version at dashboard.ugc.nl, or the other way around.
    • No longer have access to your account's email address? You can't solve this yourself. Create a support ticket.

  • Creators - Why do I need to verify my account?

Has your profile been approved? Then we'll first ask you for some details when you log in. This initial verification (first sign-on) is needed to handle orders and payouts correctly.

    In short

    • Once your profile has been approved, you fill in your details once.
    • You indicate whether or not you have a business.
    • Without these details, we can't pay you out.
What do we ask for during verification?

We ask for your personal details, such as your name, phone number and address. Then you answer the question Do you have a business?

    • I don't have a business: your personal details are all we need.
    • I have a business: we also ask for your company details.

If you have a business, we ask for things like:

    • Company name
    • Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number (or the registration number in your country)
    • VAT number
    • Legal form
    • Whether you use the KOR scheme (Dutch small business scheme)

We need these details for correct invoicing and administration.

    Why is this necessary?

    We use these details to:

    • process payments correctly;
    • prepare invoices accurately;
    • comply with legal obligations;
    • keep collaborations safe and transparent.

Without these details, we can't make any payouts.

    Payouts via Stripe

We process payments through our payment partner Stripe. To do this, we create a payment account for you. Stripe makes sure payouts are made securely and in line with the applicable rules. That's why we're required to request and check certain details before we can pay you out.

Stripe may ask for additional details later, such as a photo of your ID document or, for a company, details about its owners (UBO). Read how this works in Know your customers (KYC).

Good to know: did you start without a business and do you have one now? Go to Settings › Finance and click Switch next to Switch to business. If you still have open orders, complete those first.

Why do we ask for your BSN?

We ask for your BSN (citizen service number) because of DAC7. This is a European rule that requires platforms such as UGC.NL to report sellers' income to the tax authorities. That is why we also ask for your BSN if you already have a Chamber of Commerce and VAT number.

What does the KOR mean for your payout?

Do you use the Dutch small business scheme (KOR)? Then tick this during your first verification. You will not receive VAT on your orders. Has your situation changed? Update your choice via Settings › Finance.
